Topics:
  • Teacher’s introduction.
  • Micro-curriculum (topics and objectives, language competences to be reached) presentation
  • Methodological approach presentation.
  • Introducing the institutional rules: student regulations, chain of command and academic commitment.
  • Freetime activities and chores.

Learning outcome:
  • Say what you did last week.
  • Say where you were.
  • Ask and say where people were.

Possible tasks:
  • Reading about people's last week.
  • Conducting interviews about what classmates did last week.
  • Creating posters about students' last week.

Functional language:
  • What did you on Friday?
  • I went to the club.
  • What did you do last Monday?
  • I did the laundry and then I went shopping.
  • I went to the stadium with my family.
  • Did you see the Nacional match?
  • No, I didn’t. I like Medellín soccer team. I watched the Medellín match.
  • Where were you last Saturday?
  • I was at Molinos Mall.
  • Were your friends at the concert on Sunday? 
  • Yes, they were.

In groups of 2 or 3 people, create household chore lists according to the following categories: daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. At least 3 chores per category. Then compare your lists to the lists in the following link:
